The Whippoorwill Park or the "Whippy" is actually located outside of Frackville on the Morea Road, but on Borough owned land. The land was donated to the Borough by the Estate of Maude Kemerling in the 1960s. The park consists of a dam or pond for fishing, a shooting range, a pavilion, a clubhouse and a small playground area. The park is set in a beautifully wooded area and is a perfect mid-day get-away. The South End Field and Stream maintains the park in great condition.
